Music is a language that is used to communicate with emotions, feelings and so much more.Our International Music Day performance was a resounding success, as it not only celebrated the inherent beauty of music but also highlighted its power to foster cultural appreciation and unity. The event showcased the exceptional talents of GJR International students and their dedication to the art form, while also encouraging the audience to explore the vast array of musical traditions from around the world.

As a part of the learning process, students in grade 6 inquired about Human migration as a response to challenges, risks, and opportunities. They researched and presented about different dance forms and their history of migration. Learners enthusiastically got to know about costumes, music, and how the dance form migrated over the years to different countries.

Reading is an essential and enriching activity in today’s time. It dates back to the institution of mankind. On 19th June 2023, GJR International School conducted reading sessions, as part of National Reading Day. Fun-filled activities like storytelling, the narration of own short stories, and book talks on folk tales, and fairy tales enthralled the student community. National reading day is celebrated to commemorate and remember Dr. P N Panicker who is widely recognized as the ‘Father of the Library movement’. He pioneered the establishment of the first library in Kerala, and this marked the advent of the literacy movement in India
